UTM (Universal Transport Medium) and Swab Applicators

Ensure proper sample collection and transportation with safety and stability

Principal preparation kit intended for the collection and transport of clinical specimens containing viruses, chalmydia, mycoplasma or ureaplasma, etc. from the collection site to the testing laboratory.

  • * The swab comprises of a plastic stick with a tip. The tip of the swab is coated with Nylon fiber.
  • * This sterile swab is ideal for the collection of clinical specimens containing viruses with improved patient comfort.

- Standup tube iwth internal conical shape

- Bottle: Polypropylene / Cap: Polyethylene

- Fill Volume: 1.5-2.0mL

- Medium Ingredients contained

- Sterile

- Storage: Room temperature

- Expiration: 1 year after manufacture

 

▶ Swabs

- flocked nylon, plastic shaft

Instruction for use

① Open the peel of swab.

② Collect the specimen by swab; to prevent the risk of

contamination, make sure that the swab tip comes into contact with

the collection site only.

③ After collecting, insert the swab into the tube. Please take care

not to spill the contents of the tube.

④ Bend the swab stick to break it off at the breaking point.

⑤ After screwing the cap of the tube tightly, record information

about the patient on the label.

⑥ Put the tube in the zipper bag.

⑦ Send it to the laboratory for immediate analysis.

Warnings and Precautions

① Should not be used if package is damaged.

② Single-use device for professional in vitro diagnostic use.

➂ Do not use beyond the expiry date.

④ Be careful not to touch the skin or mucous membrane when using

reagents.

⑤ Do not use if the color of the medium has changed.

⑥ Do not use if the package is visibly damaged.

⑦ Do not use excessive force, pressure or bending when collecting

swab samples from patients as this may result in accidental

breakage of the swab.

⑧ After sampling the specimen, attach the label on the tube for

identifying the information about the patient clearly.

⑨ Product can not be reused or repacked.

⑩ To be handled by trained personnel only

⑪ Keep away from sunlight.
